Born in Brasília, Brazil, Gustavo Beaklini began his studies of harp at the age of 15. Since his teenage years, Beaklini has been awarded as a soloist in competitions across Brazil. Beaklini received his Bachelor’s degree from Federal University of Rio de Janeiro in Harp Performance and his Master's from the University of Arizona the second largest harp department in the US, where he held a teaching assistant fellowship. As a recitalist, concerto soloist, ensemble, orchestra and chamber musician, Beaklini has performed across Brazil, United States, Canada and China. Beaklini taught for two year at the largest harp department in Latin America and among his achievements he founded the harp course in two different music schools in Brazil. He also founded a harp ensemble called Citharis with which he performed and recorded extensively. You can find many of Citharis' performances on YouTube.
